News to me....

Another thing I'd like to remember....
The other day I was sitting in my bed feeding Parker, when Hailey came into my room and said that she wanted to get dressed for the day. I told her that I needed to finish with Parker and then I would come and get her some clothes to wear. She said that she could get them, but I interupted her and told her that I would do it in a minute and that she just needed to wait. This is the exact reply I got back from her; "Mommy... it's ok, I'm a big girl. I can get my own clothes."
Another funny moment was earlier this week when we were hanging out with my parents. My mom was walking into the kitchen talking to all the kids, and she mentioned to Hailey that she should be an "Artist" (pronounced... R-teest). All of the kids were playing in a big blow-up ball pit..to which Hailey replied, " No grandma, maybe I'll be a ball-teest." We all just laughed. It didn't make any sense, and we didn't even think the kids were listening to us at all!

Parker's Birth Announcement

Funny Story

A quick funny story. I just left Whitney alone in her room to go down for her nap. She was mad and crying. I left her abruptly because Parker was crying. Lovely. I changed Parkers diaper to help him stop crying, and Hailey was right there helping me. I have 2 kids screaming...could it get any worse? YEP! Parker peed while I was changing him. It shot straight into Hailey's face. Hailey started yelling, "He peeped on me...he peeped on me, I can't see!" She then began to cry. Now all 3 of my kids were crying at the same time. Oh the JOYS of motherhood!

HE'S HERE!!!!

PARKER DANIEL ROBERTS

was born on June 24th 2009 at 1:05 am.

He was 19 1/2 inches long, and weighed 6lbs. 13oz-our biggest baby yet!

He had a few little issues with breathing and being jaundice, but other than that, a healthy

baby boy.

Delivery was quick (like my other kids deliveries), but poor little parker got so beat up on the way out. The crown of his head was all bruised...along with his nose, lips, and eyeballs. They are almost all healed up now. Parker only had to stay at the hospital for 1 night without me there, which was so nice. I'm so glad he could come home so soon and that everything looks good.

We are so excited to have him home with us. The girls are so good with him. They love being mommy's helpers and love their baby brother even more! No jealousy, no tantrums...just a little too interested in giving him hugs and kisses.

All is well, mommy and baby are doing well. Recovering faster with each baby born, and other than the normal "tired" feeling..we're doing great!

(one thing to note for myself to remember: Epidurals are GREAT...but not always effective on both sides. With Parker the epidural only worked on 1 side of my body...literally split me from the spine right in half. My right side was numb, and I felt every little thing on my left side. The primary song "Head, Shoulders, knees and toes" has a whole new meaning to me now-because I felt every bit of him coming out on my left side! I wasn't made for natural birth. Thank heavens my right side was numb!)
