Spiderman cake

What do you get with an overworked mixer,

A pastry bag with icing in it

Some nasty-looking, but yummy tasting BLACK icing,

and a sink FULL of dirty dishes?

A new cake creation!
My Spiderman Cake.

The cake was for a little boy named Quinn who's turning 4. He has a bunch of food allergies, but with help from his mom...we were able to make this cake that he could eat.
Vanilla cake, vanilla frosting, fondant covering cake, fondant balls, fondant stripes. He can't eat where the spiderwebs are placed because they are made of buttercream icing.

I learned what to do differently next time....and it was my first experience with floral wire and spiderwebs.
To those of you wondering...spiderman topper is a candle that I bought.

Another cake I did recently:

This is a cake I did for my brother Jason, it's not the prettiest cake to look at, but it sure tasted good!

Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Buttercream and chopped up Snickers Candy Bars in the layers.

Belated Baby Shower for Parker

This post is SO late! That's what happens when you have a handful of kids, a house to take care of, church, family in town, ect...ect...ect.....! On August 2nd Parker had a shower in his honor. He got lots of cute clothes, (thank goodness...otherwise he'd just be in a diaper all the time) and he had the chance to meet a lot of mommy's friends. The food was yummy, the company was good, and we had a great time! Thank you Annaka and Amy for everything! I appreciate all the time and detail that went into this. I appreciate your friendships and look forward to some more fun times with you guys! Thanks Again!!! Here are a few pics from the shower. My camera was being weird, so I didn't get very many good ones.

Labels on the water bottles with Parkers name!

Dance Class

Hailey just started dance class a few weeks ago.
She's learning Ballet, Tap, and Tumbling. She likes to get out of the house to do something fun, and she's making some new friends too!

I (as the mom) love to watch her during her class. All the girls are so uncoordinated and look like they are having seizures-it's so cute and funny! It makes me think back to my dancing days as a child, and how "good" I thought I was in my leotard and tights; when in fact I was probably just as spastic as these little girls are! Coordination will come to Hailey as she grows-I HOPE, otherwise we will have to try a different outlet for her! Little sister Whit is looking forward to joining dance class someday too. She can't wait to do everything that Hailey does. Aren't they cute little girls? I just love them!

Forgotten Belly Picture

Here it is, the last "Belly" Picture of Parker's pregnancy. This picture was taken
5 days before I had him. It's so crazy to look at that sweet baby boy and try to understand how he fit in my stomach! Now that I look at this picture....I know how!
BIG BELLY!

Binky Girl

STUDY THESE PICTURES

ARE YOU REALLY LOOKING?

DO YOU NOTICE SOMETHING ALL OF THESE PICTURES HAVE IN COMMON?
A BINKY.
YEP, HER VERY BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
DADDY & MOMMY WANT TO GET RID OF IT, BUT ARE SCARED OF BEDTIME, AND NAPTIME, & WHENEVER SHE GET'S HURT.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GET RID OF IT WITHOUT RUINING HER LIFE?
I'M ALL EARS!
I'D LOVE TO KNOW IF ANY OF YOU HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM AND WHAT YOU DID TO HELP YOUR LITTLE ONE ADJUST TO THE CHANGE.
WE LOVE YOU WHIT!
