Chocolate shell cake

My latest cake was for my moms B-day. Chocolate cake w/ whipped chocolate filling, iced in Peanut butter buttercream and then covered in a milk-chocolate shell. You know the dipped cones you can get at DQ....same idea-but it's a cake. I used a chocolate transfer sheet to get the design...purple's my mom's favorite color. Trying something new-it wasn't perfect, but it was something different and fun. It tasted really good too!

Parker's 2 month stats

Parker had his 2 month check-up this past week (even though he's actually 2 1/2 months old) and I wanted to post his stats. He's a BIG BOY.....so the Doctor says, but my shoulders and arms already knew that! He's right on track with all of the normal things- head control, grasping objects, cooing, smiling, ect. All in all things went well. I hate the whole SHOT thing though, it's so horrible having to hold down your little one while someone's hurting them. I know it's for the greater good though. 5 shots and 1 oral vaccine. No fun. He's starting to feel better know, just fussy for a few days, and bruised legs-poor guy! Anyway, here's his stats:

Height-25 inches.....>95%

Weight-14 lbs. 95%

Head-16.25 cm......75%

I've never had such a big baby at such and early age! Hailey didn't even reach 10lbs until she was over 5 months old! Whitney ended up being my chunky baby, but not right away-it took her a little while. He's gonna be a chunky one! I love it!

Hailey's Story

I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago when Hailey decided to tell me one of her stories. I thought it was so cute-even though it was weird, so I ran and grabbed my camera so I could blog the story later. The following story was all made up by Hailey.
"Once upon a time, there was a Pig, some Panties, and Princess Cinderella. The evil pig stole the panties and put them in the firewater. Who's gonna save the panties? Along came Princess Cinderella and got the panties out of the firewater-yeah! And they lived happily ever after. The End."The Evil Pig, Cinderella, and the Panties
She acted out the whole thing like a puppet show for me, Whitney, and Parker. She was so proud of herself. Weird story huh? The things kids come up with!

Parkers Blessing

On Sunday the 6th of September we blessed our little boy, Parker Daniel Roberts. Everything went really well, a lot of family and friends came and then we ate at my parents house afterwards. Parker was really good and didn't make a sound while being blessed, plus he was well behaved the rest of church. Overall it was a really good day-I'm just glad it's over! These types of things always seem to stress me out!

Cake buddies!

My friend Jaymie is a cake creator-she's amazing. Whenever I need something or have questions, I usually call her first. She has ALL of the fun cake/cupcake decorating stuff, and is always doing something new. She's SO talanted!! I recently went to a friends baby shower at her house that she helped host, and everything was perfect. She made all these little bottle cookies...individually wrapped, some fun goodies to munch on, and of coarse-a cake! This cake was so neat! The baby's name is going to be Kolton, so she did a giant K on top of the cake, and the sides were patterned with a green polka-dot-which is actually chocolate. I loved it and had to take some pics. She has totally inspired me to try a chocolate transfer cake for my mom's b-day later this month. Thanks for all of your help and inspiration Jaymie! Keep up the good work! Here are some pics for all of you to drool over!
