Halloween Costume Party-Adults Only!

Last weekend we had the opportunity to attend an Adult-only Halloween party, what a blast! Dan and I have only ever been to 1 other Halloween party, but we had such a good time. Thanks you two, it was a blast!

Dave and Becca were the hosts of the evening, she was a witch and he was a proctologist....Dr. Ben Dover (notice the dark splotches on his scrubs....it's not blood...it's, ummm, you know-he's a proctologist). We at lots of yummy treat, snacks, cider, and candy-and them topped it all of with a ton of karaoke. I actually got up and sang! Here are some of the other couples from our ward that attended the party.

Then there was our stage-themed couple who dressed as Christine and the Phantom, what a cute couple. Glad you were able to make it Brigham and Carla! The Binghams came as a Full- Deck of cards...and a Deck-short of a few cards....aren't they clever? Lincoln was...hmmmm, I'm not sure...I think a hunter-he had a flannel shirt and a gun, so I think a hunter. His wife Anna was dressed as a doctor, they're both finishing up nursing school and are expecting their first baby. Bill and Diane Ritman came dressed as a UPS delivery man, and she dressed up as a girl in the 50's, aren't they cute? Ben and Cammie get my award for the most creative costumes. Ben dressed as Dwight from The Office, and his wife (she's got a cute prego belly) was a deviled-egg-clever huh? Last but not least was us. Dan was a Biker...mullet, tattoo's, bandanna...he had it all. I wasn't so clever....just a witch, but I had some great hair for the evening. We had a great time and look forward to many more Halloweens together. We are anxious to see our girls in their costumes and to celebrate the holiday through their eyes.

I thought I'd get this post done before Halloween, I know that I'll want to post a ton of pictures of the girls in their costumes, I hope none of you get to Halloween-ed out on my blog, there's going to be a lot of it!

Hailey's 2nd Haircut

Hailey recently got her haircut...other than her bangs being trimmed, this is only her 2nd haircut! I took her to a little place called Snip 'n Snap, they only cut kids hair. They had a fun area to play in with lots of toys, an airplane or car chair to sit in while getting your hair cut, and they even have the child pick out what movie he/she wants to watch while having the service done. Hailey and Whitney both loved being there, we'll definitely go back when Whitney needs her first haircut!

Community Party

Not this past weekend, but the weekend before that...we were able to go to my parents community party. We had so much fun. The weather was PERFECT and in the low 80's. The girls got to play in the bounce house, eat cottoncandy and hot dogs, pet all the animals in the petting zoo, and run around all afternoon-they loved it! We had a great time together as a family.

5 years ago....

I've seen a few people do this on their blogs, so I thought I'd do it too. Some of them that I've seen go back 3 years, and some 5 years...I decided to go back 5 years. It's crazy to think how much has happened in the last 5 years. 5 years ago Dan and I were trying to get pregnant with No success. Dan was working at Discover and I was working at Athena Day Spa. We had 2 incomes and tips on top of that, eating out all the time, a CLEAN house, a cat, no getting up during the night, come and go as we please.....TOTALLY different than now. We've since changed jobs...both of us, had 2 kids, toys everywhere, many nights in a row with NO sleep, and Taco Bell is our idea of eating out for dinner! We are loving life.

A quick little note, I changed my background and lost ALL of my blog addresses. I guess I still don't know what I'm doing! Randoms of Hailey

This post is full of little randoms of our little miss Hailey. She is so full of life and SO active all the time. She never stops, she's busy all day long. I love all of her random comments like, "It's too fit", when something is too tight or doesn't fit right...or is twisted on her. She has been making comments lately like, " That's wery (very) cool mom" " All the everybody is coming over to Hailey's house" "I need a bambaid" "It's ok whit, you got be a happy girl for a minute", she just says the funniest things all the time. I thought I'd record a few of them while they last, and while I still remember them. She's very much a princess, anything beautiful or pretty or sparkly she takes notice of. She loves any kind of music and stops and listens...or starts dancing along with it. She takes notice of everything; the clouds, the sun, the birds, the stop signs and lights, she enjoys anything that's beautiful. She doesn't hesitate to approach another kid, any public place she's saying, " HI boy, Hi girl, what you doing today?" Today we took her to get her haircut and she picked up a little pony toy and followed another girl around until she could give it to her...saying, "Here girl, here's a pony for you!" She then asked the girl if she wanted to go look at the fishies with her...they went over and counted the fish together. She won't be afraid to make friends...that's for sure. She likes to give compliments....they're really random, but they're compliments anyway. She smells everything, ( I wonder who she gets that from :) ) her clothes, her toys, the carpet, her hands, my makeup, anything I let her hold when we are out and about- she's always walking around sniffing things. "What's that I smell mommy?" is a typical question I hear coming out of her mouth, and sometimes it's a little embarrassing to answer what it is that she's smelling! That's Hailey! She's energetic, well-behaved, loving, sharing, happy, tiny, silly, smart, Hailey! Like I said, this is a random post about randoms of Hailey.
